Since my other thread locked up, we finally resolved my crazy auto trans whine problem...The transmission pan was dented enough to hit the transmission filter(and most likely strainer), which unseated the o-ring too. This caused my trans fluid to be obstructed, not allowing enough fluid to flow through the valve body to the rest of the transmission and torque converter...The whining we heard, was the torque converter begging for fluid, it was running dry because of lack of fluid... I replaced my trans pan, filter, gasket, o-ring, happy to say there is no whining to report... I would honestly and truly like to thank the following people for every question and tip they gave me in what seemed like a never ending nightmare... spyhuntrTT(nj) thanks again alex for all your help Greg and Sebastian from SpecialtyZ (sorry to bother you guys so much but damn they know their stuff) Mark Leader (sirpriz) (lookin forward to the gears) S.Watson(you were right about the o-ring) Thanks again and hopefully this thread will come up in a search for someone in the future who may have this same problem...
